#76 … when someone was supposed to have called you long back, to let you know of their safe arrival, your phone is quiet and you are desperately waiting for the call!

My bhabi was going to Bangalore by herself for the first time after her wedding. My brother dropped her off at the airport and returned home hours back. She was supposed to call and inform us of her safe arrival as soon as she reached there, but there was no information even though the flight had landed some time back. Her mobile was switched off. We all were apprehensive, but my brother led the pack. We kept telling him that she might not have been able to reach us from the airport and therefore will do so once she reaches her Mom’s place, which is quite a distance from the Bangalore airport. But he was not ready to listen and was not going to office until he had some definite news. He kept pacing the floor frantically. Every five minutes he would try her no. “Her cell might be discharged,” I tried telling him. He continued being restless until finally the call came. Once he spoke to her and was convinced she was fine, he got up, got ready and headed straight for the office. I prayed to god to bless me with a loving husband too.
