“Why are you so sad?” Alisha asked on seeing me sitting
head down in a corner.
“For the past half an hour I have been trying
every trick under the sun to gain his attention but without luck.” I blurted
out in frustration without a thought to what I was saying.
“But why?” she looked confused.
I realized my mistake. She knew nothing about my
upcoming feelings for Ved. And I had no intention of telling her yet. “Oh! Just
like that! Some fun,” I winked to her.
Infamous for being the naughtiest in the house,
she didn’t catch my lie and smiled.
“Poor soul he is to be,” she said and we both
laughed.
