#153 …when you'll forgive the unforgivable.

Q: My best friend blew up on me the other day. She said some hurtful things like I have no life and that I bug her and that she never really liked me. It was a lot of things that she said. She also commented vile on my parents and said that if she wanted to be my friend she would let me know. Do you think it's right for me to take a break from this relationship even though she tried to call up and say sorry later? I keep thinking about everything she said over and over again.

A: No matter what, if your best friend was as close as you seem to have, you will always love her. And though you may hate what she's done you don't hate her. Try to understand her reasons - I'm sure she didn't mean these things. Was she under a lot of stress at the time? Had a terrible day? Did you say something that may have made her angry? In short, if you love her, get her back in your life!!
